FIX A-29 (Fixing agent)
Acid dye fixing agent FIX A-29, phenol & bisphenol free, can be used in acid dyes for dyeing nylon fibers, or cationic dyes for dyeing anionic modified nylon fibers, and can enhance the wet fastness, especially for water, sea water, washing, and sweat resistance. It does not affect the light fastness of the dyeing, and is low foaming, easy to use.
Physical properties
• Appearance: Brown to reddish brown liquid
• Composition: Sulfonate derivatives
• Solid content: 20±1%
• Ionic character: Anionic
• pH value: 7.0～9.0
• Solubility: Soluble in water
Characteristic
This product has excellent color fixing effect and can improve washing fastness by 1~1.5 grade.
After applying the product, low color change, minimizes the effect on light fastness.
This product is easy to use, in the dyeing process, after the dyestuff is completely absorbed, add FIX A-29 when the dyeing bath is lowered to 80℃.
Application
1. Suggested dosage: 2~5%(o.w.f.)
2. After dyeing nylon fiber with acid dyes, wash with soft water. Rinse at 70-80℃ x 20-30 minutes.
3. Standard color fixing process: Pour the FIX A-29 into the dosing tank and pump it into the dyeing bath. Adjust the PH value to 4.0-4.5. And then fix the color at 70~80℃ x 20~30 minutes. Lastly, rinse with the soft water thoroughly.
4. The dyeing of anionic modified nylon fiber with cationic dyes can be improved by the following treatment to improve the wet fastness:
I. FIX A-29: 2~5%
II. pH to 5~6 by acetic acid
III. 50~60℃ x 20-30 minutes
5. Remark: To remove the FIX A-29 before the color changing
I. Ammonia: 1~3g/L
II. Anionic surfactant: 1g/L
III. 70~80℃ x 15-20 minutes.
