FLOW PROCESS CHART
Raw Material Preparation
Dicyandiamide (DCD) and ammonium nitrate (AN) are weighed and prepared according to the required stoichiometric ratio.
Mixing
The CD and AN are mixed together in a reactor vessel to form a homogeneous mixture
Heating
The mixture is heated to a temperature range of 1209C to 150"C to initiate the reaction.
Reaction
The reaction between DCD and AN occurs, producing guanidine nitrate (GN) and water
DCD+AN→GN+H20
Crystallization
The reaction mixture is cooled to allow the guanidine nitrate to crystallize.
Filtration
The crystallized guanidine nitrate is filtered to separate it from the mother liquor.
Washing
The filtered guanidine nitrate is washed with a solvent, such as water or ethanol, to remove any impurities.
Drying
The washed guanidine nitrate is dried to remove any residual solvent.
